Thakur Yugraj Singh University, Fatehpur, represents the culmination of an educational journey that began in 2005 with a commitment to expanding access to quality higher education in the region. Over the years, the institution has steadily grown in academic excellence, infrastructure and social responsibility, serving students from Fatehpur and neighbouring districts.

The institution that laid the foundation for the University functioned as a self-financed college affiliated with Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj, and was recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. This academic experience has shaped the University's approach to multidisciplinary education, student development and community engagement.

Its established academic framework includes postgraduate programmes in Hindi, English, History, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Home Science, Zoology, Botany, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It has also offered undergraduate programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce, along with the Diploma in Elementary Education. Building upon this foundation, the University aims to broaden opportunities across professional, technical and emerging fields of study.
